Amerant’s Hernan Millan Named Chair-Elect of American Lung Association of Florida
MIAMI – Amerant Bank, formerly known as Mercantil Bank, and the largest community bank headquartered in Florida, proudly announces that Hernan Millan, Vice President of Sales and Service Manager, has been appointed to Chair-Elect of the Board of Directors for the American Lung Association of Florida.
As a member of the Board of Directors, Millan will share his passion with fellow board members striving to make a positive impact on lung health and dedicated to carrying out the American Lung Association’s mission.

An active member of the community, Millan’s appointment as Chair-Elect further supports Amerant’s community service mission. Along with the American Lung Association, Millan also serves on several organizations, including the American Cancer Society, Florida Golf State Association and the Coral Gables Chamber of Commerce, among others.
Hernan joined Amerant in 2007 and has more than 13 years of experience in South Florida’s banking industry. Additionally, he attended the Pacific Coast Banking School with a focus on Management of Financial Institutions and earned his Law degree, as well as a Master on International Economics Business Law, from the Central University of Venezuela.
