Overdraft protection is a service that helps you avoid overdrawing your account if you have insufficient funds. So, if you have an incoming check payment or ACH, it will be paid even if you don’t have enough money in your account. It does this by pulling in money or credit from the account(s) that you linked to your checking account when you set up overdraft protection.
Amerant Overdraft Protection covers incoming ACH and checks transactions.
