Frequently Asked Questions about Relationship Money Market
A relationship money market account is a specialized type of money market account. It is typically linked to a customer’s existing relationship with the bank, such as having multiple accounts or maintaining a certain balance. This type of account often comes with additional perks and benefits, such as higher interest rates, fee waivers, and personalized customer service. By opening a relationship money market account, you can maximize your savings and enjoy exclusive advantages tailored to your banking needs.
Money market accounts offer higher interest rates and often come with check writing and ATM access, making it a more flexible option. Regular savings accounts offer lower interest rates but may have fewer requirements and restrictions.
* Annual Percentage Yield (APY) is accurate as of 03/14/2025. Rates are subject to change without notice. This is a variable rate account; balances from $100 and over receive 4.45% APY. Must open an account by 04/08/2025, to get the promotional rate. Stated offer is valid only for Domestic Personal Account customers. Fees could reduce earnings. In order to avoid the $35 monthly service fee for the Relationship Money Market Account, you must maintain a $50,000 balance per statement cycle. Customer must be a citizen or resident alien of the United States (U.S.) with a valid U.S. Taxpayer Identification Number.
1 At our discretion, we may change the interest rate and the annual percentage yield on the account at any time. Interest begins to accrue no later than the business day we receive credit for the deposit of non-cash items (E.g., checks). If you close your account before interest is credited, you will not receive the accrued interest. We use the daily balance method to calculate interest on the account. This method applies a daily periodic rate to the principal in the account each day.
